Co Create is a fast-growing social enterprise that uses craft skills to bring people together to build relationships, learn skills and gain confidence. Co Create operates from a two-storey workshop in the heart of Exeter and primarily uses woodwork projects to engage with local residents and communities.
In 2021 I supported lead director John Marker to found Co Create, in response to the falling levels of wellbeing, reduced capacity of third sector services, and evidence that activity-based interventions have a high success rate. Our primary goal is to reduce the likelihood of social isolation and loneliness in Exeter and beyond.
As a company director, my role is to identify funding and growth opportunities, build relationships with other organisations and support impact measurement.
